Article 4 — Retention Period and Destruction of Personal Information
Personal information is destroyed without delay once its purpose has been fulfilled, except where retention is required by law to verify the rights and obligations of transacting parties, for example:
- Records of contracts or withdrawal of offers: five (5) years
- Records of payment and supply of goods: five (5) years
- Records of complaint or dispute resolution: three (3) years
- Login records: three (3) months
Information is transferred to a separate, access-controlled store for the required retention period and then destroyed — paper records by shredding or incineration, and electronic records by secure deletion methods that prevent recovery. Members inactive for twelve (12) consecutive months will be notified before their account and personal information are separated from active records and, eventually, destroyed after the applicable retention period.
Article 5 — Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
The Website does not use or share customers' personal information beyond the purposes described in Article 2, except where:
- required by a relevant authority for investigative purposes under applicable law;
- provided in a de-identified, aggregated form for statistical, academic or market research; or
- requested through a pre-determined legal process under other applicable law.
Article 6 — Outsourcing of Personal Information Processing
The Website may outsource the processing of personal information to third-party service providers to deliver services efficiently, for example:
- Delivery of ordered products: courier partner [to be confirmed]
- Hosting and systems infrastructure: hosting provider [to be confirmed]
- Payment processing: payment gateway [to be confirmed]
Only the minimum information required for the outsourced purpose is shared. This list may change as services or providers change, and customers will be notified of material changes in advance.
Article 7 — Access and Correction of Personal Information
Customers may access or update their personal information at any time via their account settings, or by contacting the Website directly. Incorrect information will not be used or shared until corrected, and any third party that previously received incorrect information will be notified of the correction.
Article 8 — Withdrawal of Consent
Customers may withdraw their consent to the collection, use, and sharing of their personal information at any time via account settings or by contacting the Website directly. The Website will act on such requests promptly and confirm once the relevant information has been deleted or updated.
Article 9 — Security Measures
The Website applies technical, administrative and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information held, including:
- Encryption of stored passwords and sensitive data
- Regularly updated security measures to guard against unauthorised access, hacking, and malware
- Access controls restricting who can view or handle personal information
Article 10 — Children's Personal Information
The Website does not knowingly collect personal information from children who require parental or guardian consent to use online services. Where such information is provided without the required consent, the child's parent or guardian may exercise all applicable rights on the child's behalf.
